 MISSION: 

At Riffraff, we exist to push the boundaries of traditional theatre, bringing innovative and original performances to the stage. We believe theatre should be made for everyone to enjoy, regardless of background or prior exposure to the arts. 

 HISTORY: 

Based in Tulsa, Riffraff is the brainchild of Artistic Director and Dramaturg, Meagan Mulgrew, and Artistic Producer, Brittany Campbell. Inspired by their experiences watching London theatre, Riffraff was born out of a desire to challenge traditional norms and introduce new ideas to the Tulsa theatre scene and beyond. 

Riffraff is committed to making theatre more accessible through affordable ticketing options and by staging experimental, creative shows that emphasize artistic craftsmanship. Since our beginnings, Riffraff has strived to make local theatre vibrant and inclusive for our community.

 WHY RIFFRAFF? 

We chose the name "Riffraff" because it embodies our mission to break down barriers and create a space where everyone feels they belong. Too often, individuals who haven't had access to theatre, or who have felt left out or unwelcome, shy away from participating in or even attending performances. We aim to change that by producing plays that resonate with diverse audiences and by fostering an environment where all feel comfortable and valued.

Whether you're a seasoned theatre enthusiast, a curious newcomer, or someone who has felt marginalized by the traditional theatre community, Riffraff is for you. We embrace the unconventional, the outsiders, and those who may have felt like they didn't fit in elsewhere. Our productions will celebrate the rich tapestry of human experience, ensuring that everyone feels they're welcome.
